Fungal-Dominant Biology for Soil Health & Regenerative Growing

Our Fungal Compost Teas & Extracts are living microbial solutions made from mature Johnson-Su compost and designed to help restore soil biology naturally. Rich in fungal and microbial life, these extracts help support nutrient cycling, soil structure, water retention, and long-term ecosystem resilience.

Unlike conventional fertilizers that focus primarily on feeding plants, fungal extracts and teas work by inoculating the soil food web — helping bring depleted soils back to life through biology.

Perfect for:

  • Living soil systems

  • Raised beds & vegetable gardens

  • Orchards & perennial crops

  • Trees & landscapes

  • Regenerative farms

  • Compost inoculation & biochar charging

Benefits

  • Introduces beneficial fungal biology

  • Helps improve soil aggregation & structure

  • Supports nutrient cycling naturally

  • Encourages water retention & infiltration

  • Supports resilient root-zone ecosystems

  • Helps build long-term soil health

Built for Northern Colorado Soils

Northern Colorado soils are often low in organic matter, compacted, alkaline, and biologically depleted. Our fungal teas and extracts are designed to help restore microbial diversity and improve soil function in challenging Front Range conditions.

We work with gardeners, landscapers, market growers, regenerative farms, and living soil cultivators across Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, Longmont, Boulder, Denver, and the greater Front Range looking to rebuild soil biology naturally.

What’s the Difference Between a Tea & an Extract?

While both products help deliver beneficial biology, teas and extracts are produced differently and can serve different goals depending on the application.

Fungal Extracts

We take our mature Johnson-Su compost and dilute it in water to create a microbially rich extract designed to inoculate soil with beneficial biology.

This extract can be:

  • Applied directly in the soil trench during seeding or planting

  • Applied through irrigation systems

  • Used as a soil drench

  • Applied as a foliar amendment to help support plant health

A single application helps introduce beneficial microbial life into the soil and, in the presence of living roots, can help bring depleted soil ecosystems back to life over time.

Our standard field application rate:

  • 2 pounds of Johnson-Su compost per acre

  • Diluted into approximately 20 gallons of water

A 275-gallon IBC tote can treat up to approximately 14 acres.

We harvest and produce extract as needed so customers receive the freshest and most biologically active inoculant possible.

Fungal Compost Teas

Teas are actively brewed using oxygen, fungal compost, and carefully selected biological foods designed to encourage microbial growth during the brewing process.

Fungal teas:

  • Are brewed aerobically over time

  • Aim to multiply fungal and microbial populations

  • Often include fungal food sources like humic substances, kelp, oats, or other biological inputs

  • Can be tailored toward fungal-dominant biology

  • Are best used fresh after brewing

We can produce fungal teas upon request depending on the application and biological goals of the project.

How to Use

Apply as:

  • Soil drenches

  • Irrigation injections

  • In-furrow planting applications

  • Compost inoculants

  • Biochar charging solutions

  • Foliar amendments

Healthy soil starts with living biology — and fungi are a critical part of the ecosystem underground.
