Worm Castings Extract & Teas
Living Microbial Solutions for Soil & Plant Health
Our Worm Castings Extracts & Teas are biologically active liquid inputs designed to support healthy soil biology, nutrient cycling, and resilient plant growth. Made from high-quality worm castings, these living solutions help introduce beneficial microorganisms directly into the soil in an easy-to-apply form.
Unlike synthetic fertilizers that focus only on feeding plants, teas and extracts help support the soil food web — encouraging healthier, more resilient soil ecosystems naturally.
Perfect for:
Vegetable gardens
Raised beds
Houseplants & containers
Lawns & landscapes
Greenhouses & hoophouses
Regenerative farms & living soil systems
Benefits
Introduces beneficial microbes to soil
Supports nutrient cycling naturally
Encourages root development
Helps improve soil structure
Easy to apply as a soil drench
Supports healthier, more resilient plants
Built for Northern Colorado Growing Conditions
Northern Colorado soils are often compacted, dry, alkaline, and biologically depleted. Our worm castings teas and extracts are designed to help restore microbial activity and improve soil function in challenging Front Range conditions.
We work with gardeners, landscapers, farms, and greenhouse growers across Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, Longmont, Boulder, Denver, and the greater Front Range looking to build healthier living soil systems naturally.
What’s the Difference Between a Tea & an Extract?
While both products are designed to deliver beneficial biology, they are made differently and can serve slightly different purposes.
Worm Castings Extract
Extracts are made by suspending worm castings in water and gently agitating the mixture to transfer microbes into liquid form.
Our simple DIY extract method:
Mix approximately 2–4 cups of worm castings into a 5-gallon bucket of water
Rainwater or water left out overnight to dechlorinate works best
Stir or agitate periodically before application
Apply the same day for best biological activity
We recommend using extracts primarily as a soil drench rather than spraying directly onto edible plant surfaces.
Extracts:
Focus on transferring existing biology
Require minimal equipment
Are quick and easy to make
Work well for general soil inoculation
Are best used immediately after mixing
Worm Castings Tea
Teas are actively brewed using oxygen, worm castings, and carefully selected microbial foods to encourage microbial growth during the brewing process.
Teas:
Are brewed aerobically over time
Aim to multiply microbial populations
Often include fungal or bacterial food sources
Can be tailored toward specific biological goals
Are best used fresh after brewing
Both teas and extracts can be effective tools for supporting soil biology when used appropriately.
How to Use
Apply as:
Soil drenches
Irrigation injections
Transplant solutions
Compost inoculants
Use throughout the growing season to help support biological activity and overall soil health.
Healthy plants start with healthy soil biology.
